Whoot, it's Friday! I have to say, I've been having to readjust my body to Summer's sudden appearance (90 degrees already!!), and then I open the windows this morning and Fall has returned. Ha!
I've got new goodies in the shop...
"My Shield Against The World"

I'm really in love with this piece. It's not my usual fairy-tale mode, but sometimes I get the urge to just do stylistic pieces...something not necessarily story based. Although, I could totally see this being a crest for a coven of fancy, hot witches! I also wouldn't mind having this tattooed on me.
I was also inspired by this fantastic glass necklace from the lovely Mathyld/Under the Pyramids...

"Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte"

So yeah, these will be the last papercuts for a while. It's time for me to start work on my totes (bags and screens have been ordered!), a few new photoshoots, an exciting collaboration with my favorite collaborative partner (hint, hint!), and time to start recording!!
And thanks to the ever so fabulous Mlle. Ghoul, I've procured a new treat for myself...
Sonoma Scent Studio's 'Ambre Noir'

Here's the description...
"Dusky labdanum is at the heart of this rich and sultry scent, with cedar and sandalwood in the base and subtle deep rose weaving between the woods. Accents of smoky agarwood, light incense, dry vetiver, and soft leather complete the composition. For those who enjoy the dark side of amber." And trust me when I say, this perfume is a beauty!!!
Time for some music...
While listening to my band's Pandora station-yes, I do on occasion, don't laugh ;)-I stumbled across this beauty (the video is not so great, so just close your eyes and listen)...
The Postmarks 'Nine Million Rainy Days' (Jesus & Mary Chain cover)
It's always a little weird hearing fantastic bands like Low or Grouper played next to my songs on my Pandora station...a definite good weird. Speaking of Grouper, I'm sure I've posted this before, but here's a beautiful video for a song off of Grouper's split 12" with Roy Montgomery...
Grouper 'Hold the Way'
And finally, my dear Still Corners recorded a BBC session and played a new song from their upcoming record...
Still Corners 'I Wrote in Blood'
So good!! Till next time.

OMG ! OMG, Chadling !
I just saw your latest papercuts in the shop and dropped here to scream my love ... And here is my Order of the Triangle, too ! ♥
Also, I adore "and then we were darkness", too !
You're one of my absolute favourite artists, Chad !

Ooh my! I had not previously heard of Still Corners and now I am quite smitten.
And uh oh...I hate to do this to you, but what do you think about this? "Beginning and ending with the unique scent of Black Hemlock absolute - rarely used in such luscious quality and quantity - this utterly hypnotic, unconventional and mysterious woody essence is combined with jasmine and violet absolute to create a dusky, seductive perfume."
That's the description for "Woman", by Ormonde Jayne and has been described by one perfumista as "the haunting, outdoors witchiness of tall pines leaning into the night". !!
I'm not surprised to find Mathyld in here loving the triangle! I love it too. Love. I'm not even a triangle worshiper like some people ;) though a rose worshiper yes.
