It's been a while, no? Well, I have a good reason for that: I got a job!! I am working fulltime at the amazing antiques emporium, Uncommon Objects. It has always been one of my most favorite shops in Austin, and now I work there! I will have to have fortitude not to spend all my pennies though ;)
I have picked up a couple of treasures, at the shop, regardless...let's have a lookie

Welcome my newest child, the dapper gentleman, Senor BooBoo! I just couldn't resist that fantastic wart hog (or is it a boar?) face of his. Now Biscuits has company!

I also had to have these amazing antique sympathy/funeral wreath stickers. What a fantastic font!!

I've been wanting an etched brass and glass box just like this! I have ideas for it too. Let's say a wee friend will be arriving to rest in this.
Lots of shop news to share...
First off, the 15% off coupon code, SHADOWSISTERS is still in effect!
I have a very limited edition screenprint now available in the shop. It's titled, "Abracadabra" and is 5"x7", gold metallic ink on black paper.

I also have new prints available...
"With Candy Striped Legs, The Spider Man Comes"

"In Lock Of Hair, Your Ghost Is There"

"This Too Shall Pass"

"Shadow Sisters"

My upcoming book is almost completed as well. I have someone very special writing the forward for it, then it's off to the printers! I'm so so so very excited about it.
I will have a piece in Domy's annual group show, "Monster Show 666". My piece is titled, "Audrey Rose", and it's inspired by the 70's book/film of the same name. It's also the first time I've worked with overlaying papers.

I will have a piece in the Articulated Gallery's "Spirit Board" show, and have another very exciting development happening. All in due time sweeties!
Other than that, I'm still getting into the swing of Austin life, seeing great shows like The Horrors (photos from that in the next post), and hanging with these awesome peeps...

Ooooo!! Have you guys seen the new Lula cover for issue #13?!!

So friggin great! It totally reminds me of all the amazing 70's horror films I've been watching lately.
And finally, here's a new track from the upcoming Still Corners' record, "Creatures of an Hour". Will I ever stop blogging about them? Nope!

If I ever have babies I'm hiring you to come up and paint circle vignettes hanging from silhouette ribbons all around the nursery, ok?
& I want to know who beat me to the punch on the print! so good.
MAN! That Abracadabra went too fast! Boo.
There's more Darcy :) I have 13 left!
Tamera, I most definitely want to be your nursery artist!!! xo
I love your blog, your decorating sense, your artwork, and your taste in music! We are kindred spirits I think. So very happy I stumbled across Mon Petit Fantome!! <3
Too cool. Xx
SeƱor BooBoo! Just look at him, what a handsome face! I love his elegant bowtie paired with the crazy insouciance of that hairdo.
I am never able to grab a copy of Lula, for whatever reason; but now you have referenced those 70's horror movies you know I am going to have to make an extra effort!
I'm so jealous of your new job - congratulations! And your boar's head - amazing!
Love 'The Cure' reference in your new piece - I was so obsessed with the video for 'Lullaby' when I was a teenage goth!
That little glass box is wonderful, as is the Abracadabra print.
My Shadow Sisters made it safely to the misty north of England today, and I adore them - thank you so much! Hopefully they'll have some company from more of your papercut prints, soon. xo
Oh wow, that boar's head is amazing!! You have THE best job in the world. Without a doubt. Also love the new Abracadabra print & the new Lula looks so so awesome.
