Contest Time Kittens!

Hello loves...

I am very happy to announce that I am hosting a contest for the amazing vintage shop, Greatest Friend! Between now through Friday, November 18th, leave a comment and you could win this beauty...

Greatest Friend sash

Here are a few words from Greatest Friend's equally amazing owner, Angela, on this beautiful sash...

"It's actually an Edwardian piece, from around 1917-19 to be specific.... most probably a mourning adornment. The beads are an amazing hand cut glass; it's terribly wonderfully gothic! There are no flaws either, perfection! It was traditionally worn, literally, like a pageant sash. I see it as a beautiful wall hanging...or wrapped around ones neck like a scarf. The fabric content is silk - it is fairly delicate, and light."

The winner will be drawn Saturday, November 19th!

In my shop news, you can receive 15% off with coupon code: SEANCE

Also, my second book, "And Then We Are The Darkness" is completed and currently being printed! I'm so very excited! There will be a limited, signed edition that includes a print of "Shadow Sisters" and a handscreened "Abracadabra" print.

I love that description, "...terribly, wonderfully"! It fills me with a sort of thrilling dread, like some sort of horrid ghost may come along with something so dark and beautiful!

It is sad that the traditions of mourning from this time period are lost to our culture and only mementos like this remain. It is a lovely and touching object.
