WOW! No posting since November! I am too horrible.
Thankfully, I have lots to share...
First off, I've been busy making lots of new papercuts for the shop!

I looove how the posters came out. They are pro-printed on really nice Epson paper and are a fantastic quality!
I'm working on more papercuts and slowly starting to gel ideas for a show this year that I'm pretty damned excited about...
Life has been going really great. I'm fully in the swing at work, and really loving my job. I have become the blogmaster for the shop, and will let you all know when that will go live! I've also been meeting some new kitty friends...
This is my friend, Cullen's cat, Dudley! Such a gentleman!! He looks and feels like a snowshoe rabbit.
I also got new glasses, and over the holidays, I got my septum pierced! I've been hemming and hawing over getting one for a year and a half. I finally did it and loooove it! It's all healed up and I don't even remember my face without it!
Here's a few goodies I procured over the holidays...
An Argus Super Seventy Five medium format camera. I got this lovely for $10 in the shop, and can't wait to shoot with it!

What witch can be without essential herbs?!
This amazing kitty dish and a skull that was carved out of antler and handdyed. Again, more work finds...swoon!
Finally, a german version of one of my favs, "Valerie and Her Week of Wonders". This one has a great interview with my beloved Trish Keenan.
This is also the time of year where I think of all the ways I want to improve myself-physically and spiritually. Time to quite that nasty smoking, get off my tushy and meet boys (I actually have a date tonight!), exercise, and meditate and be still with myself. Let's break all the habits that bind us!
What post would this be without some music my babies! I have been head over heels for Grimes!!!

We got the most amazing new sweetheart at work recently...
Seriously took my breath away!! For those who may not know, my three "Holy Grails" on my taxidermy wish list are a swan, barn owl, and raven. Unfortunately, her price tag is a wee bit out of my price range, but I love petting her head when I pass by, and staring lovingly into her eyes.
Another fantastic item in the shop was this tasseomancy cup and saucer set...
It was in my dearest Angel's booth, and she oh so kindly gifted it to me. Eeeee! Time to learn "the magical art of reading tea leaves"!
A friend of mine passed these on to me, and seriously made my day/made me laugh out loud...

Today has been such a calm, quiet day. Finishing up a papercut, babysitting my roommates cats, and enjoying this beautiful weather. To add to today's loveliness, I received this totally unexpected suprise parcel...

The next items (and last new items of the year) to hit the shop will be my two new tote bag designs, so look out for that! I will then begin working on a piece for an upcoming show at Observatory in Brooklyn. This follows pieces in the fantastic group shows by Domy in Austin and Articulated Gallery in San Francisco. Here is a new vignette that resides on my work desk. A heartbreaking funeral photo, and a beautiful German straightrazor. You can't tell, but it has carved vines and a lady's profile on the handle...

"It's actually an Edwardian piece, from around 1917-19 to be specific.... most probably a mourning adornment. The beads are an amazing hand cut glass; it's terribly wonderfully gothic! There are no flaws either, perfection! It was traditionally worn, literally, like a pageant sash. I see it as a beautiful wall hanging...or wrapped around ones neck like a scarf. The fabric content is silk - it is fairly delicate, and light."
